In my freshman business class, working on the final presentation with my small group taught me how people with different personalities and abilities can work together to accomplish a goal. The assignment was unlike anything we had ever done and completely out of our comfort zone. However, by listening to each other's ideas and experiences, we were able to develop an innovative solution for our challenge. Recognizing each individual's strengths, we divided the work in a way that allowed everyone to uniquely contribute to the project. As a result of our collaborative teamwork, our presentation was well researched and delivered. I learned that respecting people's ideas and abilities is the key to working with others.
